M.E.'s Office Officially Rules Midwest City Couple's Death As Homicide

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The State Medical Examiner's Office has officially ruled a Midwest City couple's death as homicide.

Rose and David Garrick were found dead in their home last week. According to the M.E.'s office, they both died of head trauma from a sharp object.

Police arrested the couple's grandson, Kyle Smith. They said he told friends he killed the couple with a machete then set the house on fire.

Two of Smith's friends, Dustin Martin and Jacob LeBlanc, are accused of helping Smith set the Garrick's home on fire after their murders.
