OKLAHOMA CITY -- The hunt is on for a possible serial bank robber.
On Wednesday, a man entered the IBC Bank located at 14001 North MacArthur in Oklahoma City, pointed a pistol at bank employees and demanded money.
Investigators said one of the bank employees removed the teller drawer and placed it on the counter. The robber then told the bank employee to put the money in his bag. The employee complied with the demand and the robber told the employees to lie on the floor for five minutes or he would shoot them.
The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was last seen driving north on MacArthur in a silver Volkswagen Jetta. The license plate for the vehicle was covered with a piece of paper.
The robber is described as a white man, 20 to 25 years of age, approximately 5'7" to 5'9" in height and weighing 140 to 160 pounds. He was wearing a gray colored, long sleeved sweatshirt, a fake, black beard, and an Amish style floppy hat. The bag used by the robber was black in color with three zippers that had orange colored rope/string attached to their ends.
The pistol was a semi-automatic pistol and it was black in color. Law enforcement believe this individual may also be responsible for the robberies of the First National Bank of Coweta in Coweta, Oklahoma on May 24, 2011, Bank of Oklahoma on May 26, 2011 and June 10, 2011 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Investigators also want to identify another man that was pictured in the lobby. At this point, it's unclear if this man is involved in the robbery, but he is wanted for questioning.
Anyone with information regarding this robbery should contact the FBI at (405) 290-7770 (24 hour number). You may remain anonymous.
The Oklahoma Banker's Association offers up to $2,000.00 for information leading to the identification, arrest and/or conviction of anyone robbing a member bank.
