Authorities Arrest Teen In Garvin County Double Homicide

A 19 year old man suspected of killing two people southwest of Pauls Valley is sitting in jail Thursday morning.

Following a joint investigation by the Garvin County Sheriff's Office and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, authorities arrested David Bryan Kelly at approximately 4:15 a.m. on Thursday, December 15. Kelly was booked into the Garvin County Detention Center on two complaints of first-degree murder.

On Wednesday shortly before noon, family members found the bodies of Shaw Ott, 34, and Karen Ott, 58, at a home near Airline Road and Klondike. Deputies and the OSBI plan to return to the crime scene Thursday to search the property for more evidence.

Authorities have already recovered the gun they believe was used in the murders. They have not revealed a possible motive for the shootings.
