A case of road rage in Edmond results in one arrest.
It happened on Wednesday, December 14 when police say 26-year-old Zachary Shawn Martin allegedly threatened another man with a gun in an apparent road rage incident.
According to an Edmond Police Report, the victim told police he pulled out of the parking lot of Jersey Mikes onto Broadway. At the stop light, the man reported a red Blazer following him close, right up to his bumper. The victim said he pulled into the parking lot of Wendy's located at 1012 S. Broadway, got of his car and approached Martin. The report stated that that's when Martin allegedly cocked a gun and yelled "you cut me off in traffic and by that, you threatened my life."
The victim told police that he ran back to his car and yelled for his girlfriend to call police. At that time, according to the report, Martin drove off. The victim wrote down the tag number off of Martin's vehicle. Police caught up with Martin near his home, where they discovered a P90 Ruger pistol in his blazer. Martin was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
