Emily Ann Dodson was found dead in her Dibble home on October 2, 2009. Her death was ruled a suicide. But her family has always felt her death was suspicious. Especially now that her former fiancé has been arrested for the recent murder of a Grady County man.

"They need to reopen her case," said Melissa Dobson, Emily's sister. "That man didn't have to die."

George Bruce Rouse Jr., who went by Bo, was arrested in connection with the death of Danny Ray Franklin. U.S. Marshals and the FBI tracked him down at an Oklahoma City motel Wednesday morning. The Grady County sheriff says Rouse confessed to the murder in a text message to one of his deputies. Franklin was found on his parents property by his father on Monday morning. He had been shot in the head.

Dodson's family wants the McClain County Sheriff's Office to reopen her case to see if Rouse has anything to do with Emily's death.

"Everything indicated she was in the bathroom by herself," said detective David Guthrie, the investigator who handled Dodson's case. "But we are reviewing the reports to make sure we didn't miss anything."

The detective says all evidence led to Dodson committing suicide. The medical examiner ruled the death a suicide. The detective says Dodson died of a shotgun blast and that the barrel of the shotgun was found in her mouth.
