Autopsy Confirms Grady County Murder Suspect Committed Suicide

The State Medical Examiner's Office said Monday a murder suspect died Saturday when he hanged himself in the Grady County Jail.

George Rouse's body was found around 6 p.m. His death has officially been ruled a suicide.

Grady County deputies arrested Rouse Thursday, January 12, on a first-degree murder complaint. Prosecutors said he killed 31-year-old Danny Ray Franklin. Franklin's body was found near his parent's rural home near Chickasha, buried under a pile of leaves.

Grady County Sheriff Art Kell said Franklin was shot in the head, and there were signs Rouse was going to try to burn his body.
