Mother Shoots Son During Domestic Dispute In Southwest OKC

A man was taken to the hospital after getting shot by his own mother in southwest Oklahoma City Tuesday evening.

Oklahoma City police responded to the shooting just before 7 p.m. in the 700 block of S.W. 47th Street. Officers said a 70-year-old woman shot her son during a domestic dispute.

The son was taken to a local hospital in stable condition. 

According to police, there was another woman at the house at the time of the shooting, but officers did not say what her relationship is to the mother and her son.

The mother has been taken into custody by Oklahoma City police. The case is still under investigation.

A neighbor told News 9 the mother lives at the house alone and her son was visiting her.
