A metro dog rescue group has its hands full on Monday.
Homeward Bound Pugs rescued 32 pugs from one house over the weekend. Nineteen of the dogs are puppies.
Homeward Bound has already sent 11 of the dogs to a rescue group in Houston. The rest were at the vet getting checked out.
All of the dogs were neglected and malnourished.
Homeward Bound already has about 40 dogs up for adoption, so taking on 21 more is a big deal.
"We've got six puppies that are quite sick right now, so we need a lot of help with them. They're medical bills are going to be pretty much astronomical but we're not giving up. We're all going to get them healthy we hope," said Gail Tucker with the rescue group.
