Extremely heavy rain is moving west to east across Oklahoma, bringing the potential of flash flooding in the state.
The News 9 Weather Team is watching the storms. There are no severe weather watches or warnings in central Oklahoma, but the downpours have made the morning drive tricky. There have been several minor accidents in the metro, but no one has been hurt seriously.
Meteorologist Matt Mahler says the rain will last most of the day, and there will be small pockets of hail. While the storms in central Oklahoma are not expected to be severe, there is an enhanced risk of tornadoes in southern Oklahoma.
