A civil lawsuit was filed Monday against former McLoud Elementary School teacher Kimberly Crain and the McLoud Public School District over allegations of Crain's manufacturing of child porn with school children.

Parents claim most of the perverted actions took place at McLoud Elementary.

Crain is already behind bars. Now, she will have two court battles to tackle at the same time.

It has been nearly four months since Crain was arrested on child porn charges. Now, 10 families are suing Crain, her husband, the couple's business, accused child porn consumer Gary Doby and McLoud Public Schools.

"The school district is the other main player in the lawsuit," Plaintiffs' attorney George Wright said.

The 16-count lawsuit claims Crain photographed her female students with intent to sell the images. Prosecutors have charged Doby, also known as Uncle G, with receiving those pictures from Crain.

"We do believe that there may have been more people involved," Wright said.

The plaintiffs say Crain's pornographic photoshoots happened in classrooms, at her Shawnee home and at a Shawnee workout facility the Crains own.

In McLoud, people are largely supportive of the families and are disappointed in the school district.

"I think [the administration] needs to be more involved and be watching what's going on in the classroom," McLoud area resident Shawnda Hilley said.

Some are still in shock even months later.

"I didn't expect it would happen at McLoud," McLoud resident Evan Blanchard said.

The families' attorneys say the lewd actions happened on a daily basis for at least two school years. The District Attorney's Office says at least 15 girls were targets of Crain.
