An accident at the Weatherford International Yard near El Reno, where oil field equipment is made, critically injured a worker Tuesday night.

Crews responded to the call just after 9 p.m. at the company located at 901 Jensen Road near El Reno. It originally was thought to be an explosion, but the Canadian County Sheriff's Office now says there was no blast.

It now appears the man was conducting high-pressure testing on equipment at the oil services plant when a jolt of water hit him.

He was flown by Medi-Flight to a local hospital in critical condition. The man's name has not been released.

The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.
