Blocker originally called 911 on the night of September 16, 2010 to report Saxton was hurt. When officers arrived at Saxton's apartment located at 3042 S.W. 89th Street, they realized Saxton needed medical attention. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

Police said Blocker later admitted to beating Saxton over the head with a crystal ball and DVD player.

A judge sentenced Blocker to life with the possibility of parole. Blocker will have to serve 85 percent of the life sentence before being eligible for release.
