Police Investigate Homicide After Woman's Body Found In NW OKC

Oklahoma City police are investigating a homicide after officers found a woman's body at a house in northwest Oklahoma City Friday morning.

According to police, 50-year-old Janica Shoals was found dead at 9:45 a.m. Friday at a home, located in the 7800 block of Lyrewood Lane in Oklahoma City.

Officers were called to check on the welfare of the person living at that house. They found Shoals' body at the home as they arrived. Police say Shoals had trauma to her body consistent with homicide.
