Police are searching for two suspects accused of killing a 15-year-old boy on July 8. They've been identified as 19-year-old Brendon Jackson and 16-year-old Tavon Railback.

Richard Morales was shot to death in the 1100 block of N.W. 105th Street. His body was found lying in the street.

According to the arrest warrant, Morales was walking with three friends around 10:30 p.m. when a car drove past them and stopped in the road. Someone stepped out of the front passenger's side of the car, turned toward the group and started shooting. The shooter then got back into the car and the vehicle drove away.

Police say two incidents led up to the fatal shooting. On July 4, Morales and a 17-year-old friend were in the parking lot of a convenience store at Hefner and Western. According to witnesses, Brendon Jackson began talking to a teenage girl about working for him as a prostitute. The girl's sister intervened and told Jackson to leave the girl alone. A female friend of Jackson's then began fighting with the sisters.

Police said Morales' 17-year-old friend jumped in and separated the girls, which angered Jackson. Witnesses told police Jackson tried to fight the 17 year old, but someone called the police and Jackson ran from the scene.

A few days later on July 8, a few hours before the fatal shooting, Morales was again with his 17-year-old friend and several others in the parking lot of a convenience store at N.W. 105th Street and N. Western. Witnesses told police Jackson drove up and tried to run the group down with his car. Everyone ran and no one was hit, and Jackson drove away.

Police said Morales' 17-year-old friend was also with him when he was shot to death. Police said it's possible the friend was the intended target.

Police said they learned Jackson and Tavon Railback were connected to the crime when Railback allegedly told a friend he "did something dirty" to one of her friends. Railback reportedly said he was in the car with Jackson when Morales was shot.

The witness told police after she spoke with Railback, he called her several times and made threats against her if she told anyone about what he'd said.

Both Jackson and Railback are now wanted for first-degree murder, and three counts of shooting with intent to kill.
