Donations Pour In Granting Oklahoma Vietnam Vet's Dying Wish And More

A dying Vietnam veteran from Bridgeport will see his final wish come true. 

Dennis Hall, 63, has terminal cancer and probably only months to live. He has never been to the Vietnam Veterans' Memorial Wall in Washington D.C., and wants to go before he dies.

Hall's family is holding a garage and bake sale to raise money for Hall's trip. However, when Oklahomans found out about Hall's plight through our coverage on News 9 Thursday night, many of them reached into their pockets and donated thousands of dollars. 

That money will help cover not only the trip, but also Dennis Hall's medical bills. 

"I really can't say how much I appreciate the people in Oklahoma. I really thank them from the bottom of my heart," Hall said. 

Hall's daughter will accompany Dennis to Washington D.C. on August 28.
