Police Arrest Man In Connection To Deadly SW OKC Hit-And-Run

Police made an arrest Thursday night in connection to a fatal hit-and-run in southwest Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma City Police arrested 30-year-old Salvador Lopez after someone called in a tip. He is currently facing charges of leaving the scene of a fatal accident, driving without a license and transporting an open container in the vehicle.

The accident occurred near S.W. 29th Street and Lee Ave. around 10:15 p.m. Thursday.

According to a witness, 27-year-old Rusti Bates was attempting to cross the street when the driver, who was heading westbound on S.W. 29th, hit her and kept going.

Police did not say where they arrested Lopez.
