Oklahoma City police arrested Thursday a man suspect of raping a teenage girl, and robbing a string of businesses in the metro.
Police say they recently identified 31-year-old Mario Rogers as a suspect in more than a dozen armed robberies across Oklahoma City. The most recent robbery occurred Wednesday, October 3, at the Holiday Inn Express at 4400 Highline Boulevard.

Police researched Rogers and discovered he was also being investigated by the Sex Crimes Unit for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl. Investigators then learned Rogers was staying at a hotel at Interstate 240 and Western. Several officers went to the hotel to search for him.
When police arrived, they saw Rogers getting into his vehicle. They say as soon as Rogers saw law enforcement, he tried to escape. He rammed two patrol cars, and then jumped out of his car and tried to run away. Police say he tried to carjack a driver, but was unsuccessful. Officers then chased him down, caught and arrested him.
After both robbery and sex crimes investigators interviewed him, Rogers was arrested on several counts, including rape, robbery, and lewd acts.
