A Warr Acres couple is thankful their 3-year old son wasn't hurt after a teenager drove a car into the side of their home and a vacant house next door.
The crash happened around 6:45 Friday morning on MacArthur near N.W. 58th Street. The couple, who asked that we not identify them, said their son had just woken up and left his room and that's when the car hit the home and partially came into the boy's bedroom.
"It sounded like a big boom and we heard lots of glass going everywhere," said the 3-year old's mother. "We went outside and saw the driver who looked like he was 14 or 15 years old."
Warr Acres police cuffed the driver and put him in the back of a police unit. An officer on scene would only say that the driver was a young teen, but wouldn't give any additional details on what led up to the crash. No one was hurt and the incident is now under investigation.
