Texas Man Caught In OKC Trying To Meet 8-Year-Old For Sex

A registered sex offender from Texas was caught in Oklahoma City trying to meet an 8-year-old girl for sex.

Police say 34-year-old Scott Froedge of Arlington, Texas, arranged the meeting through social media. He was arrested Friday near 50th and Northwest Expressway.

Investigators have confiscated Froedge's phone and his vehicle as evidence. He was taken to the Oklahoma County Jail.

Froedge was added to the sex offender registry in 2002 following a child porn conviction.
