A natural gas explosion that leveled an Oklahoma City home is affecting an entire neighborhood with people evacuated and gas being turned off.
Some people living on the block where the explosion occurred were still not allowed to go back to their homes late Thursday, while crews continued checking homes and gas lines in the area.
The explosion seemed like it came straight out of a movie, according to fore department officials. The explosion rocked the southwest side neighborhood and sent a cloud of black smoke high in the sky.

"Everyone knew it was an explosion," neighbor Michael Tolbert said. "We came outside and everyone was just trying to find out where it was."
Some people saw what happened.
"The roof came off the house and flipped the other way and came back down on the house," one neighbor recalled. "It was pretty crazy."
Oklahoma Natural Gad crews were canvassing the area and the Red Cross assisted people who had been evacuated.
"[We're dealing with] not being able to go home," Betty Nordquist told News 9 as she waited in the cold. "We're waiting for them to give us the all-clear."
Neighbors say are just thankful nobody was seriously injured.
"It was worse than an earthquake," Nordquist said.
