Search Continues For Weatherford Teen Who Went Missing 3 Months Ago

A Weatherford teenager disappeared without a trace. Investigators began searching for Jaray Wilson months ago. Tuesday marks three months since she went missing.

Investigators told News 9 they are chasing down several leads, some of them coming from Jaray Wilson's family who are using social media to spread the word nationwide.

"We are just on there all the time looking," said Jara Wilson, who monitors three Facebook pages dedicated to finding her missing daughter, "Somebody sees her somewhere and you don't get too excited because it's too big of a letdown."

The 16-year-old disappeared from Weatherford on October 15, 2012. At that time, Investigators revealed Wilson may have been sold into human trafficking.

Dozens of suspected sightings followed the release of information.

"She's been in Florida, she's been in Texas, she's been in Colorado and California and unfortunately it has never been her," Jara Wilson said.

Still, Jaray Wilson's family turns to social networking as a way to expand their search.

"We are still living this and it is still happening and this way people aren't apt to forget," Jara Wilson said.

The Wilsons remain confident their daughter is still alive.

"You wonder if you are doing the right thing by keeping it out there cause you wonder if that's why they are not letting her come home," Jara Wilson said.

Although the Wilsons say there are many ups and downs, they would rather get a possible lead in the case than nothing at all.

"It makes you feel good that people are still looking," Jara Wilson said.

The family says they will not give up until Jaray comes home. On the 15th of each month, the family will hold a prayer vigil at "Jaray Central" located at 202 E. Main at 6 p.m. The next vigil is set for January 15.
