A metro apartment complex that's long been the target of scorn says they're trying to clean up their image. But some tenants say it's gone too far.

The Gateway of Edmond sits behind the old Reynolds Ford dealership on North Broadway. Last week, tenants received flyers that say "if police are called to your apartment for any reason, your lease will be subject to immediate termination."

Angry tenants contacted News 9 to complain.

Gateway Supervisor Pam Tipton says she didn't realize the flyer says leases can be terminated if police are called for any reason.

"It shouldn't say that," said Tipton. "We really want them to call police if it's needed."

Tipton says The Gateway of Edmond has undergone many recent improvements, including new paint, new gates, a new playground and a new workout facility.
