A deadly medical chopper crash claimed two lives Friday morning.
The EagleMed helicopter went down just before 5:45 a.m. between the St. Ann Nursing Home and St. Ann Retirement Center near Britton and Rockwell.
The Archdiocese of Oklahoma City said seven of its nurses who were on duty rushed to the wreckage and Reid to pull the crew out. One of the three crew members was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Several people in the area reported hearing the loud explosion just minutes after the helicopter made a crash landing. One woman who lives in the retirement center said it woke her up and sounded like a bomb.
Another man, who was blocks away, said the chopper seemed to just fall out of the sky in the early morning hours.
"It exploded," he said.

He described the explosion as a very loud firework and said he even felt the blast.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) was on scene all day Friday examining the wreckage. An Oklahoma City Police officer at the scene said an investigative team out of Washington, D.C. would be in OKC on Saturday to take over and piece together what happened.
