Firefighters Battle House Fire In SW OKC

Crews doused a house fire in southwest Oklahoma City, Wednesday night.

Firefighters were called to a home located at 5916 S. Francis Ave., near SW 59^th St., just after 10 p.m.

Once on scene, crews reported seeing billowing smoke and flames shooting out of the home. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control before 11 p.m. 

It is unclear at this time how the fire started or if anyone was home at the time. A damage estimate was not immediately available, however the home appears to have sustained a significant amount of damage.

No other information has been released.
