Actor and director William H. Macy is searching for extras of all types at an open casting call this weekend for his new movie, which will be filmed around Oklahoma City.
Macy will begin shooting "Rudderless" in Oklahoma City on April 20. Shooting is scheduled to last until the end of May. The movie stars Macy's wife, actress Felicity Huffman, as well as Laurence Fishburne, Billy Crudup and Selena Gomez.
Freihofer Casting will hold an open call for extras on Saturday, April 13. It runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Quail Springs Mall.
Oklahoma Casting Director Chris Freihofer says he's not looking for babies or toddlers, but anyone else is welcome. The casting company is especially searching for hipsters, skaters, rock and roll fans, clubbers, mall patrons, college students, teens and tweens, and adults and seniors of all types.
"Rudderless," Macy's directorial debut, is a drama written by two Oklahomans, Casey Twenter and Jeff Robinson. It's about a grieving father who discovers a box of his deceased son's music and lyrics.
