Police in Yukon, Mustang, and OKC confirm a woman has targeted parking lots, going from car to car looking for any chance to break in and steal purses, wallets and above all credit cards.
Police say this Yukon woman, Jeannie Ann Snodgrass, targeted multiple victims all across Mustang, Yukon, El Reno and Oklahoma City. Her most recent arrest came after she "targeted a daycare in Mustang" and police say she "attempted to use stolen credit cards" at a local Wal-Mart.
Court papers show one of her victims had her "wallet stolen out of her car" while she was at work at the Jimmy's Egg in Yukon. That victim suspected Snodgrass was behind it, since she used to work at the Jimmy's Egg and had "recently been fired".
Surveillance video at the Yukon Wal-Mart was able to determine the person using the victim's debit card was indeed Snodgrass. When authorities confronted her, she "admitted using the victim's debit card at four different locations" but claims she did "not steal it" but received the card in the parking lot of Lowes from a previous Jimmy's Egg employee.
The state didn't buy it, and charged her with the crime. In fact, Snodgrass has charges and convictions for grand larceny, forgery, and drug charges dating back to the early 1990s. And even though she's spent time in prison, it has done little to keep her from a life of crime.
Just last week, police in Mustang arrested Snodgrass, accusing her of 2nd degree burglary, forgery, knowingly concealing stolen property, and a slew of other charges.
Court papers show the state wants to have her held without bond to keep the community safe. And she could face up to life in prison on her pending charges as a result.
