Man Killed At NE OKC Hotel Was Due In Court

Police are investigating a homicide in northeast Oklahoma City.

Around 1 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a shooting at the Lincoln Inn Express Hotel and Suites located at 5405 N. Lincoln Boulevard. Police say a family member of the victim called police after the shooting.

When police arrived, they found a man shot to death inside one of the hotel rooms. Attorney Tony Coleman says the victim was his client, 21-year-old Blayke Ladd. Coleman said Ladd was scheduled for an arraignment at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Ladd never showed up because he was killed at the hotel. Ladd was going to turn 22 this Saturday.

No arrests have been made in the case. Police are still working on a suspect description.
