Police have arrested a man suspected of shooting a northwest Oklahoma City homeowner then crashing his car into a power pole.

Around 5 a.m. Thursday, a woman called police to report someone had shot her husband at their home in the 6400 block of N. Peniel. The man was rushed to OU Medical Center for treatment. He is currently listed in critical condition.

Police say the homeowner and the shooter know each other.

Police began searching for the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Darrien Clark. He was found a few miles away when he crashed his car into a light pole at N.W. 39th Street and Grove Avenue. Police arrested Clark at the scene.

The crash knocked down the power pole. Crews from OG&E are on the scene making repairs. Westbound lanes of N.W. 39th were briefly closed, but have now reopened.
