A 48-year-old man died after he was hit by two vehicles as he attempted to cross a Tulsa street early Friday.
Officers say Sammy Ford was first hit by a southbound SUV as he stepped off the curb on South Peoria near 48th Street at about 1 a.m.
Police said the 18-year-old driver went home, told her father and he called police.
Ford, who police believed was still alive, was struck again by another southbound car. That driver stopped and called police.
"We don't believe that alcohol was involved with any of the drivers and of course we'll do our investigation and make sure and eliminate that," said Tulsa Police Cpl. Jerrod Hart.
Sammy Ford was pronounced dead at the scene.
South Peoria was closed for about five hours while police investigated.
