An inmate is on the run Thursday morning after escaping from the John Lilley Correctional Center in Boley, 70 miles east of Oklahoma City.

Officers at the minimum security center noticed Donald Leshurd was missing during a 7:30 a.m. count on Wednesday, September 18. He was incarcerated for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle out of Tulsa County. He was also convicted of first-degree rape in Osage County in 1990, and escaping from a penal institution in 1992.

It's not known how he escaped from the Boley facility.
