Monday is Veterans Day. Many Oklahomans are doing their part to honor those who served our country. But one bridal shop in Oklahoma City is honoring our veterans in a unique way.

Impression Bridal, located at 13801 N. Penn. Ave. in Oklahoma City, hosted the "Brides across America" event on Veterans Day this year.

During this event, the store donated wedding dresses to active military brides, as well as brides with military spouses who have been deployed in the last five years.

According to Teresa Lerma, Assistant Manager of Impression Bridal, 13 brides showed up for the event, and the good news is – all of them said yes to the dress.

Lerma said together, the dresses are worth more than $20,000.

"Every bride deserves to feel special, especially when she spends her time worrying about her loved one or being the one deployed herself," said Lerma. "So it is an honor to be able to give back to the ones who already give so much, as well as be a part of their special day when picking out their wedding dress."

Lerma told News 9 this is an annual event, and they look forward to giving out more dresses to deserving military brides in the years to come.
