Firefighters Contain 3 Alarm Apartment Fire In NW OKC

Firefighters have contained a three-alarm fire Friday morning at an apartment complex in northwest Oklahoma City.

Crews responded to the fire at about 9:30 a.m. at the Villa Stone Apartments, located at 7504 N. Lyrewood Lane.

All units in the apartment building have been evacuated. No one was injured.

Firefighters say the fire was confined to the roof, and they had trouble getting to the fire because of the many layers in the roof. The fire never made into the actual apartments.

Fire officials say the fire may have started in the chimney. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
