An Edmond police officer wants to make sure that kids in the neighborhood he was patrolling know they're safe.

Lieutenant Paul Barbour left a note on the family's door after he heard the children were having trouble sleeping because they were worried.

It says he works the night shift and patrols the neighborhood, so people can sleep. And he was "driving through their neighborhood and everything looked good."

The Edmond Police Department shared the note on its Facebook page on Thursday. It has since been shared by hundreds of Facebook users.
