An Oklahoma State University wrestler was arrested over the weekend in Oklahoma City, for possession of cocaine and public drunkenness.
According to police, it happened early Saturday morning at the Redneck Yacht Club, located at 4720 W. I-40 Service Rd. An employee told police that he walked into the men's bathroom and saw the suspect, 20-year-old Edward Klimara, put a small baggie containing a white powdery substance into his pocket.
The employee contacted police. Officers say the substance tested positive for cocaine and weighed .21 grams.
Klimara, police say, was unsteady on his feet and had a slurred speech. He had a strong odor of alcohol coming from his person. Klimara reportedly told police that he hadn't partied since October, 2013, because he has been training for wrestling.
Klimara was then arrested and transported to the Oklahoma County Jail on charges of possession of CDS/cocaine, and public drunkenness.
Klimara, of Joliet, Illinois, is a sophomore at OSU and a wrestler for the Cowboy Wrestling program.
