A much anticipated city project to connect Bricktown with the Oklahoma River gets the green light to open from the Union Pacific Railroad.
City leaders reached an agreement with the agency and the Central Oklahoma Transportation to open the Bricktown landing; this will connect the south edge of Bricktown with the Oklahoma River.

Crews will remove the barricades around 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, to allow pedestrian and River Cruisers access to the river channel and trail.

The project was expected to open last October, but was postponed, due to a disagreement over the legal issues and liabilities of the tunnel underneath I-40.
