The investigation into the botched execution of convicted murderer Clayton Lockett continues.
Oklahoma's Department of Public Safety investigative team is awaiting the independent autopsy report performed by the Southwestern Institute for Forensic Science.
Once the final autopsy report is complete, it will be added to the summary of findings by the OKDPS and made available to the public.

"I appreciate the meticulous and pragmatic process the Southwestern Institute for Forensic Science is utilizing in order to deliver an accurate and thorough autopsy report," said OKDPS Commissioner, Michael Thompson.
"I do look forward to our investigative team receiving the report, so that we can conclude our part of the investigation and deliver the findings to the Governor's Office and the public."
Lockett died from a massive heart attack that occurred almost 40 minutes after the execution began.
Gov. Mary Fallin called for the independent investigation into exactly what went wrong during Lockett's execution.
