Authorities arrested a Yukon man Thursday after a 13-year-old girl accused him of raping her. Investigators say they learned of the crime from the victim while taking a statement concerning a different rape case.
According to the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office, 50-year-old Roy D. Doshier, a convicted felon, was charged with Rape in the First Degree for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in December of 2013.
Investigators say the victim informed them that she had been raped by Doshier on one occasion after he provided her marijuana at his home, located at S.W. 16th in Yukon.
The victim told authorities she smoked the marijuana Doshier gave her, passed out on his couch, and when she woke up, he was on top and raping her.
According to the news release, the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office made contact with Doshier at his home Thursday morning, and he confirmed the rape did occur.
"Words can’t express the disgust I have for anyone who preys on children in the manner Doshier readily admitted to,” said Canadian County Sheriff Randall Edwards. “His rape of this young girl is just a demonstration of what happens when these predators lack the fear of accountability to law enforcement for their actions."
Investigators say the girl told them about Doshier’s crimes while they were taking a statement from her concerning a different case where she was raped by her soccer coach from Burns Flat, who was arrested in June.
Authorities say Doshier was booked into the Canadian County Jail on a $50,000 bond, and if convicted, he faces up to life in prison.
