Man Arrested After Shooting, Killing Ex-Wife At Blanchard Convenience Store

Police have identified the alleged shooter and the victim at a convenience store in Blanchard, Wednesday morning.

Police have identified the alleged shooter and the victim at a convenience store in Blanchard, Wednesday morning.

Authorities arrested 65-year-old Larry Keeler for reportedly shooting and killing his ex-wife, 57-year-old Gaye Keeler, at the Gator's Deli located at 1235 NE 10th St., just before 10 a.m.

According to McClain County Sheriff Don Hewett, Larry fired two shots at Gaye inside the store. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Sheriff, Larry and Gaye, who were the owners of the store, were going through a divorce. Gaye had a protective order against Larry, which expired 12 days ago. 

There were about five witnesses inside the store at the time of the shooting.

The Sheriff's office is assisting Blanchard police in the investigation.
