An earthquake shook many residents in the central Oklahoma area awake Tuesday morning.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 4.2 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 7:41 a.m. Its epicenter was located four miles south, southwest of Guthrie, 11 miles north of Edmond, and 24 miles north of Oklahoma City.
It was about two miles deep.
The Oklahoma Geological Survey reported that this earthquake was 4.3 in magnitude.
Many News 9 viewers in the central Oklahoma area, including Oklahoma City, Edmond, Piedmont, Moore, Yukon, and more, reported feeling this earthquake.
