One woman is dead following an officer-involved shooting, Wednesday evening. Oklahoma City police say she went after an officer just before being shot.
Undercover officers were near the intersection of Melrose and Rockwell watching what police say was a drug sale."They observed three individuals involved in a narcotics transaction in a parking lot of a convenience store," said Captain Dexter Nelson with the Oklahoma City Police Department. "These officers were in plain clothes and unmarked vehicles, but they were wearing police vests that had police across the front, and they had badges around their necks with chains."

The officers jumped out of their vehicles, and witnesses say they ran up to the suspect's car, and that's when things got even more dangerous.
Police say the officers identified themselves and started talking to one of the male suspects, but another male and female got inside the car and took off.
"While trying to flee the parking lot, that female struck an officer with the vehicle," said Nelson. "That officer, in the process of being struck, fired into the vehicle striking that female one time."
The car continued down the road for a short distance before coming to a stop.
The male passenger was taken into custody, and the female was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The officers were not injured, and the incident remains under investigation.
