Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers have recovered the body of a drowning victim on Hugo Lake in Choctaw County.

Bryan Scott Luscomb of Soper was swimming with a friend away from his pontoon boat Saturday just before 5 p.m. north of Kiamichi Park, according to an OHP report. He called for his wife to drive the boat to him but then went under water and did not resurface.

Troopers recovered the 50-year-old man's body at about 6:17 p.m. Sunday. They say he was not wearing a floatation device.
