Alton Nolen, the suspect in the deadly attack on a co-worker at a Moore food plant, recently converted to Islam. But federal investigators say that incident was not an act of terrorism.
In a statement Monday, Rep. John Bennett, who is critical of Muslims and is on the Counterterrorism Caucus, said in part:

"The Feds say this is workplace violence but people know that's not true. The citizens of Oklahoma want to know, 'Who are these people and why are they doing these terrible things to us?' It's high time we get to the truth. I am calling for a public discussion about potential terrorists in our midst and the role that Shariah law plays in their actions."
Several state representatives, including Sean Roberts, Sally Kern, Lewis Moore, Dan Fisher, Mike Christian, Mike Reynolds and Mike Ritze signed off Monday on the statement.
