OU's Joe Mixon Trial Could Be Delayed

A pre-trial conference is scheduled for Oklahoma freshman running back Joe Mixon's misdemeanor case on Friday. Court documents show Mixon will appear before Special District Court Judge Steven Stice at 3 p.m. in Cleveland County.

The court clerk told News 9 Mixon's trial could be delayed until December.

Cleveland County District Attorney Greg Mashburn filed a misdemeanor count of an act resulting in gross injury against Mixon after the incident.

Amelia Rae Molitor, 20, claimed Mixon punched her and knocked her out for approximately 20 seconds at Pickleman's Gourmet Cafe in Norman. 

Mixon's attorney, Kevin Finlay, said Mixon was being verbally and physically attacked and was acting in self-defense.
