Three suspects are in custody after leading police on a high-speed pursuit in southwest Oklahoma City, Tuesday evening.
According to police, it all started around 5 p.m. over a routine traffic stop near SW 15th St. and S. Walker Ave. Police say when they tried to pull the vehicle over, they took off.
The chase lasted for some time, winding around southwest parts of the metro. At one point, one of the suspects ditched the vehicle in the area of SW 15th St. and S. Penn Ave. The driver then continued on and led officers around Will Rogers World Airport park.
The driver ran out of room on a dead end road near a National Guard facility near the airport, on the south side of Mustang, Okla. He and another suspect in the vehicle attempted to flee. One was taken into custody immediately. The driver though, managed to run onto the National Guard property, where he was taken down by two guardsmen in the parking lot.
The identities of the suspects have not been released at this time.
