A Luther woman was arrested and charged with Aggravated DUI and Child Endangerment after an incident on Thanksgiving.
On Thanksgiving Day, the Edmond Police Department received a “reckless driver” call from the area of 33rd and Air Depot. The caller followed a vehicle for several miles, and told police the vehicle was swerving, speeding up, slowing down and randomly stopping in the middle of the road.
The caller said she was concerned and claimed to see a child in the vehicle.
Officers located the vehicle near 15th and 1-35 and conducted a DUI stop with the driver, identified as Paula Jones. Police say Jones blew a .34 BAC during a breathalyzer test, which was over four times the legal limit.
She was transported to the Oklahoma County Jail.
Police located a 10-year-old child in the car during the traffic stop. It was learned the child was a family friend and was released to their parent.
