Oklahoma Man Arrested On First-Degree Manslaughter Charge

Authorities have arrested a man on a manslaughter charge in connection to the death of another man at an Oklahoma City motel back in May, 2014.

Authorities have arrested a man on a manslaughter charge in connection to the death of another man at an Oklahoma City motel back in May, 2014.

On Sunday, December 7, Greyson McFarland, 20, was arrested on a Canadian County arrest warrant for first-degree manslaughter.

According to Oklahoma City police, on May 22, the body of 19-year-old Rowdy Gray was found inside a room at the La Quinta Inn, located at Interstate 40 and Mustang Road. Police said Gray had trauma to his body.

Police said they spoke with a suspect, later identified as McFarland, who was at the motel when officers arrived. It appears McFarland and Gray had been involved in some sort of altercation at the motel the night before.

According to police, the suspect was released pending further investigation.

At about 10 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, McFarland was arrested at the Fairfield Inn at 4521 S.W. 15th Street. He has been booked into the Canadian County Jail on one count of first-degree manslaughter.
