Minco Public Schools Closed Due To Flu, Strep Throat Outbreak

Students in Minco Public Schools will have two more days off due to an outbreak of flu and strep throat epidemic in the district.

Minco Schools Superintendent Kevin Sims told News 9 crews will be called in to disinfect all of the schools in the district in an effort to stem the spread of the illness.

Sims said that at least 20 percent of students at the elementary school were out last week because of the outbreak. Athletic events, however, will continue as scheduled.
