OHP Identifies Driver Involved In Crash That Killed Trooper

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol identified the driver involved a crash that killed one of their own and injured another, over the weekend.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol identified the driver involved a crash that killed one of their own and injured another, over the weekend.

Lt. John Vincent said Steven Wayne Clark was driving the car that struck troopers, Nicholas Dees and Keith Burch, while they were investigating a jack-knifed semi on westbound I-40 east of Shawnee around 10 p.m. Saturday.

Vincent said Clark has been released from the hospital, but no other information is available at this time, including what caused Clark to hit the troopers.

The investigation is ongoing.

OHP said funeral services for Trooper Nicholas Dees will be held on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 12 p.m. at Broken Bow High School, 1001 S. Park Drive in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
