Canadian County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man accused of sending explicit photos and messages to a deputy posing as an underage girl on Facebook.
According to the Sheriff's office, 24-year-old Kelton Miller of Oklahoma City, was arrested Thursday afternoon after investigators received photos of his genitals on an undercover Facebook account.
The decoy Facebook profile was that of a 14-year-old girl living in the Yukon/Mustang area. It was actually set up and administered by a Canadian County Sheriff's Deputy.
Miller, who was taken into custody at his apartment in the Canyon Ridge Apartments near Reno and Mustang Road, cooperated fully with investigators. He not only surrendered his cell phone, but gave a full confession as well, according to the Sheriff's office.
Miller's Facebook messages to the girl contained sexually explicit and erotic details of the type of sexual activity he intended for the two when they got together. Once Investigators learned that Miller was attempting to arrange the meeting, they decided it was time to pick him up.
"Based on how fast this case moved, we had to move fast before he became suspicious of the undercover profile," said Randall Edwards, Canadian County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators were able to secure Miller's cell phone while still at his apartment, and will be able to perform a forensic examination, recovering the Facebook messages and photographs sent to the "girl."
"I'm glad we were able to put him behind bars before he could get his hands on a living, breathing underage child," Edwards said.
Miller was transported the Canadian County Jail where he was booked in and charged with soliciting sexual conduct with a minor through use of technology, lewd acts with a child, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Miller remains in custody with his bond set at $100,000.
