Semi Truck Catches Fire On Tulsa Interstate 44

A driver escaped injury when a semi caught fire in east Tulsa Tuesday morning.

The fire backed up eastbound traffic on Interstate 44 for several miles.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the driver was able to stop the truck next to the center median just east of Highway 169 and the Tulsa Fire Department put out the fire.

Firefighters said they saw flames coming from the cab as they pulled up at about 8 a.m.
